Shabana Azmi Health Update: She Is Improving Rapidly, Will Remain In ICU For 48 Hours, Says Brother Baba Azmi

Actress and social activist Shabana Azmi met with a severe car accident on the Mumbai – Pune Expressway when her car rammed into a truck. The actress was almost immediately taken to the MGM Hospital in Panvel where a CT Scan was done and was later shifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri.

May actors and actress visited her in the hospital and husband Javed Akhtar has been sharing a constant update on her health. According to a Spotboye report, producer Boney Kapoor revealed, Baba Azmi) brother of Shabana Azmi) told her condition is improving rapidly. The report quotes Boney as saying, “Shabana Azmi is improving rapidly. The MRI was done and it was clear. She is not on sedation anymore. However, she will remain in the ICU for about 48 hours more just to see if everything is maintained well enough,”

There were many celebrities who paid Shabana a visit some of them were, Honey Irani with daughter Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, Farhan’s ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani, Vipul Shah, Ashutosh, and Sunita Gowariker, Farah Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Vicky Kaushal and Jeetendra among others visited the actress at the hospital.

 For the uninitiated, Shabana’s driver Amlesh Yogendra Kamath has been accused of rash driving by the truck driver named Rajesh Pandurang  Shinde, whose truck Shabana’s car rammed into. And FIT was also filed against him because the car was also severly damaged!
