Shahid Kapoor Shares A Heartwarming Post As He Wraps Jersey; Calls It His ‘Best Filmmaking Experience Yet’

After winning hearts with his incredible performance in Kabir Singh and proving his versatility yet again, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor began prepping for his next project titled Jersey. Also featuring Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapur and Sharad Kelkar, the sports drama has been directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and is an adaptation of his 2019 super hit film of the same name. Shahid, who is playing the role of a cricketer in Jersey, had been in Chandigarh shooting for the final schedule at Mohali stadium.

Last night the actor took to his official social media handle to share a special post announcing the wrap of the film. He expressed gratitude for all the team members who put themselves at risk by coming to the set during the pandemic. Shahid wrote: “It’s a film wrap on #jersey .... 47 days of shoot during covid. Just unbelievable. I am so proud of the entire team. It’s nothing short of a miracle. I want to thank each and every one from the unit for coming to set every day, putting themselves at risk and doing what we all love doing. Telling stories that touch hearts and make a difference.”

He went on to write: “Jersey is a story that speaks of a Phoenix rising from the ashes. The triumph of an indomitable spirit. If there was ever a time I could connect with the underlying spirit of a film this was it. As we all fight through this pandemic. Let’s always remember. This shall pass too. Here’s to my best filmmaking experience yet. Here’s to Jersey ... we shall overcome !!!!”

Jersey was initially scheduled to hit theatres on 28^th August 2020. However, the production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Well, we are eagerly waiting for the superstar to shine again on the big screen!
