Shamita Shetty on entering Bigg Boss after Raj Kundra’s arrest: ‘I was heavily trolled for no fault of mine’

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was arrested back in July this year for allegedly making pornographic films. The Mumbai police had claimed that he was a key conspirator in the scandal. While the actress refrained from commenting on the case, reports had suggested that Shilpa cried and argued with Kundra when the Crime Branch raided their home. A little while later, Shilpa’s sister Shamita Shetty entered the Bigg Boss OTT house. It was a tough time for her as she was extremely worried about her brother-in-law, just like the rest of the family.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Bubble Shamita remembered the same. She was quoted saying, “It was very difficult for me the first time around, because the situation was very different. I was unfortunately being heavily trolled for no fault of mine. My family also, at that point in time, felt that it's better for me to just lock myself in that house. And also it was a previous commitment, and I didn't want to back off because of everything that happened. I wanted to stick to my word and continue. As they say, 'The show must go on'.”

She went on to explain that during the pandemic, people are sitting at home with no work, so how could she say no to a job which required her to sit in the BB house and get paid. For the uninitiated, Shamita emerged as the second runner up of the season on 18th September. A few days later, Raj Kundra returned home on bail. At the moment, Shamita is back in the BB house for season 15.
