Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani, Pooja Hegde In Consideration For Female Lead Of Chatrapathi Remake?

It was back in 2005 that S.S Rajamouli's Chatrapathi, which had Prabhas playing the leading man, had released. This was way before Baahubali and before the duo became a force to be reckoned with Pan India. The film was a hit, and it had its own masala elements that appealed to the masses. Cut to 16 years later to 2021, and now we might have a Hindi remake of the film.

If a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, then the Bollywood remake of Chatrapathi is already in the works. It was reported that Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas would be playing the leading man and making his Bollywood debut in this one. Now, names for the female lead are coming up and it looks like Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani and Pooja Hegde are in consideration. A source said, “The makers plan to start shooting from April and depending on the actress’ dates they will zero down on the final cast. The film will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule and will apparently be made on a budget of 75 crore. It is being scripted by Rajamouli’s father K V Vijayendra Prasad, while Sajid Samji is penning the Hindi dialogues. Sreenivas has already shifted to Mumbai and has started prepping for the film. Currently, he is focusing on building an appropriate physique to play the character.”
