Shraddha Kapoor was replaced by Kiara Advani in Kartik Aaryan’s next for ‘being pricey’?

Soon after Kartik Aaryan announced that he is collaborating with Sajid Nadiadwala and Sameer Vidwans’ for a musical love saga, which was originally titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha, it was reported that Shraddha Kapoor has verbally agreed to be a part of the project. Fans were over the moon with joy to see this hatke jodi together for the first time ever! However, earlier this month it was revealed that not Shraddha, but Kiara Advani has been roped in to play the female lead. The romantic film will mark Kartik and Kiara’s second project together after their much awaited horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Well, a report shared by Spotboye has now revealed why Shraddha is not a part of the film anymore, even though the makers wanted a fresh pair. Apparently the actress has gained a reputation of being ‘pricey’, which is the reason why she lost out on the project. A source close to the makers was quoted saying, “Shraddha has done approximately 20 Hindi films. Out of these, 4 have been hits, 2 of them Baaghi and Baaghi 3 produced were by Sajid Nadiadwala. When she asked for her price for his new production starring Kartik Aaryan, Sajid was taken aback. He quickly decided to replace her.”

Shraddha became quite popular with filmmakers in Mumbai as well as Hyderabad after the release of her pan India film Saaho, which also featured South superstar Prabhas in the lead. But according to the report, they decided to take a step back after the beauty asked for a remuneration of Rs 10 crores. Currently, Shraddha is busy shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next, opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
