Sidharth Malhotra To Collaborate With Kabir Singh Makers For The Bollywood Remake Of This Action Thriller

After winning hearts with his superb performance in films such as Student of the Year, Ek Villain, Ittefaq and Aiyaary, the handsome and talented Sidharth Malhotra is all set to impress the audience once again with his upcoming release, titled Shershaah. Slated to hit theatres on 3^rd July, the biographical action film will tell us the story of army officer and Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra. Sidharth, who will be seen playing a double role in the film, will share the big screen with his rumored girlfriend Kiara Advani.

While the actor has been tight lipped about his future projects, a report in Pinkvilla suggests that he will soon start shooting for the Hindi remake of hit South film Thadam. A source was quoted saying, “Sid has realised that all that he needs to do right now is to balance his style of films. He wants to reach out to the masses with a few films every year. The makers of Kabir Singh have the rights to remake Thadam in Hindi and when producer Murad Khetani approached him for the popcorn actioner, he showed keen interest. He liked the concept of the film and now, he's also decided to come on board. The modalities are being worked out currently.” The report further states that the action thriller may release in the second half of 2020.

The heartthrob was last seen on the big screen in Milap Zaveri’s directorial Marjaavaan, in 2019. Also starring Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh, the ‘violent, dramatic love story’ failed to impress the audiences and was compared to Sidharth’s hit film Ek Villain. However, fans are eagerly waiting for Shershaah to hit theatres.
