Sooryavanshi’s release date will be decided after Rohit Shetty completes Khatron Ke Khiladi 11

Filmmaker and action king Rohit Shetty is currently in Cape Town, South Africa shooting for the 11^th season of his stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. He unveiled the much awaited promo of the new season on social media yesterday which has taken the internet by storm. Well, fans are now eagerly waiting for him to share another good news-- the release date of his cop drama Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Earlier reports had suggested that a final call on the film’s premiere will be taken in June.

Well, in a recent interview with Spotboye, Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibasish Sarkar has clarified that the discussion about the film’s release will happen only after Shetty returns to the country from Cape Town. He was quoted saying, “In the last 18 months I am supposed to have released Sooryavanshi at least ten times. Rohit Shetty is shooting Khatron Ke Khiladi outside India. Once he’s back in India we will sit down together and discuss the release.”

The release date of Akshay’s film has seen a lot of shifts in the past one year due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent nationwide lockdown. For the uninitiated, Sooryavanshi is the 4^th film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe after Ajay Devgn’s Singham, Singham Returns and Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba.
