SS Rajamouli On Not Casting Prabhas In RRR: ‘Working For 5 Years In Baahubali, We Have Seen Enough Of Each Other’

SS Rajamouli gave the world one of the greatest cinematic experiences with his masterpiece Baahubali: The Beginning and its sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Featuring incredible actors such as Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishna and Sathyaraj, the film left the audience with supremely high expectations from the filmmaker’s next project RRR. One of the most awaited films of 2021, the period action drama film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris.

In a recent chat with Spotboye when Rajamouli was asked why he didn’t cast superstar Prabhas in RRR, the filmmaker joked, “Working for 5 years together in Baahubali, I think we have seen enough of each other. Jokes apart, when we have a subject exciting for both of us we will definitely come together again.” Talking about how he is not thinking about Baahubali’s success anymore, he shared, “My mantra always had been, to completely forget the previous film’s success and start completely afresh. I don’t keep a comparative chart. I completely ignore it. I make a story that is exciting. And then do whatever that is needed to make it the best. Leave no stone unturned.”

Coming to the fire vs water concept behind the film and the motion poster, Rajamouli explained, “Fire and Water are two opposing elements. One can destroy the other. But if they come together and create steam, the force generated can run the motor of the world.”

Well, we are super excited for the period action drama film to hit theatres soon!
