SSR Case: AIIMS Panel Rules Out Poisoning And Strangulation Theories, CBI Likely To Continue Probe On Abetment Charges

Sushant Singh Rajput death probe continues and looks like the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel the Central Bureau Of Investigation is consulting for a medical and legal opinion in the case has ruled out strangulation and poisoning theories that been doing the rounds.

According to an NDTV report, the AIIMS panel after investigating the forensics reports and other evidence has submitted its report to the CBI and according to their sources, they have ruled out any foul play much like the reports from Cooper hospital. It added that circumstantial evidence also points to suicide.

The report also suggests that the CBI is now likely to continue its probe based on charges of abetment of suicide as claimed by the deceased actor’s family in their F.I.R to the Bihar Police.

“All aspects are still open in the probe, if any evidence comes to light proving otherwise, Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (murder) will be added, but nothing has come up in 45 days of probe,” claims NDTV’s source from the central agency.

A few days ago Sushant’s father’s lawyer Vikas Singh had tweeted, "Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR. The Doctor who is part of the AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it's death by strangulation and not suicide,” which further fueled the frustration of millions who are waiting for justice to be served to the actor’s family.

The claim was however soon defused by the AIIMS chief who said that nothing can be said simply by looking at the picture of the dead body.
