Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death: Nikhil Dwivedi Lashes Out At Bollywood For Its Hypocrisy, Is He Pointing At Karan Johar?

The death of Sudhant Singh Rajput has left the entire industry shocked and mourning. He died today in his residence in Mumbai at the age of just 34 years and the entire film fraternity has been pouring in their condolences. But Nikhil Dwivedi, in his tweet has pointed out at the hypocrisy that lies beneath the surface of the fraternity.

Taking to the social media platform, he said that many have said that they regret not being in touch with the late actor, but in reality, his career had been going downhill and that is the real reason why no one was in touch with him. He wrote, “At times our movie industry's hypocrisy gets to me. High &mighty announcing they shud ve kept in touch wth Sushant.. Cmon u didn't! &thts coz his career dipped. So STFU! R u in touch with Imran Khan, Abhay Deol &others? No! But u were, whn they were doing well #SushantSinghRajput” Check out his tweet here:

Well, it seems like Nikhil is pointing towards Karan Johar. Karan and Sushant had collaborated for Shuddh Desi Romance and Drive, which turned to be a debacle. Karan had also mourned his death and written, “lame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year..... I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with...but somehow I never followed up on that feeling...will never make that mistake again...we live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times ...some of us succumb to these silences and go within...we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them....Sushants unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me ...to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations.....I hope this resonates with all of you as well....will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug ....???”

Sushant’s death has also opened up the conversation about mental health and depression and the necessity to reach out to people. Rest in peace, Sushant Singh Rajput.
