    Sushant Singh Rajput's Flatmate Siddharth Pithani Arrested By The NCB In Hyderabad In Drug Case, Brought To Mumbai

    The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has taken late Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend and flatmate Siddharth Pithani into custody in relation with the drug case that they have been investigating linked with the actor’s death.

    A NCB official confirmed to PTI that the bureau was on the lookout for Pithani who they traced in Hyderabad and arrested there. He has been brought to Mumbai for interrogation. While the alleged role of Pithani in the drug case remains unclear the action by the action was a big one.

    “The alleged role of Pithani in the drug case, that emerged post the actor’s death, came to light during the NCB's investigation and hence he was arrested,” the official tells PTI.

    Last year, during the extensive news coverage of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation, Sidharth Pithani’s name emerged several times. He was said to be the one to have found Sushant in his room on the day that he dies in his Bandra based apartment last year.

    A drug angle that later emerged during the investigation also led to the questioning of several other actors from Bollywood and the arrest of actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty who were later released on bail.

    Earlier this year, the NCB filed a detailed charge sheet of over 12,000 pages in the drug case where Showik and Reah’s names are said to have found a mention.

    Sushant Singh Rajput died last year on June 14. He was 34.
