Sushant’s Dil Bechara Co-Star Sanjana: ‘You Gave Me A Forever, Within A Limited Number Of Days’

One of the most hard-working and talented actor’s of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last on 14th June. The news broke the entire nation’s heart and his friends from the industry were left devastated. His Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi, who was going to make her debut in Hindi films this year with their film, is unable to process the reports like many other fans. She took to her social media handle last night to share an emotional video message, remembering her first co-star.

Sanjana shared that she refreshed her web pages a 100 times, hoping this was nothing but a horrible joke. She stated how they were finally going to see their film—her very first film—after facing all the possible difficulties they could for the release for 2 long years. In the video, Sanjana also recalled, “In the middle of our 16-hour shoot days, you'd tell me that being and becoming Manny, made you happy. But you'd also fleetingly mention being anyone other than yourself made you happy. I was too ill-equipped to understand the depth of what you meant. Amidst your struggle, you somehow found a way and had a desire to yell out to me from the opposite side of set screaming ‘Rockstar, itni achi acting thodi na karte hain paagal!’”

Dil Bechara, the Hindi adaptation of John Green's 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars, is currently in post-production. It was scheduled to hit theatres on 8th May but the release date was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus lockdown. Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, the film will also feature Saif Ali Khan in an important role.

You may be gone Sushant, but you will continue to live on in our hearts. Rest in peace.
