Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap And Vikas Bahl's Residence Raided By Income Tax Department

Income Tax department of India raided the residence of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, director Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl on Wednesday. It is also being reported that the residence of producer Madhu Mantena also came under the scanner. The IT raid was around Phantom Films. According to Business Today, as many as 22 locations are being raided by the IT-department, including Kwan talent management agency.

The reports suggest that the income tax department stated tax evasion as the reason for the raids. More information on the same is still awaited.

The raid was around the now-disbanded Phantom films, but director Vikramaditya Motwane's name has not come up. Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu's residence was thoroughly searched. On the work front, Taapsee and Anurag Kashyap are collaborating together for a supernatural thriller called Dobaaraa. The shoot of the film is currently underway. Taapsee has several films lined up for release this year, right from Haseen Dillruba alongside Vikrant Massey, Looop Lapeta opposite Tahuir Raj Bhasin, Rashmi Rocket where she will play a sprinter, and Mithali Raj's biopic Shabash Mithu. There are also rumours doing the rounds that she might be cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's next, but no official conformation has been made.
