Taapsee Pannu Urges Audiences To Watch More Female Centric Films, Says If They Are Hits It Triggers More Such Films

Taapsee Pannu always stood out with her movies choices in Bollywood be it Pink or her recent release Saand Ki Aankh. The actress always ensures that her part in every film has a voice and doesn’t believe in becoming background noise and is a big supporter of female centric films.

Speaking at the International Film Festival of India 2019 currently under way in Goa for a session on ‘Women in Lead’ the actress encouraged audiences to head to theatres to watch female centric films as it pushes makers to make more of them. Taapsee said, “If you want to be a good audience, walk into a theatre to watch a female-centric film, because even if one female-centric movie hits the box office, you have triggered atleast 5 female-centric films in the making.”

The actress has always been known to speak her mind and recently spoke to Hindustan Times and said that she wants to build her own niche and wants to stay away from sex comedies, and item numbers. “So, if I do something conventional, they’ll not like it. To some extent, I’ll also not like it and get bored.  I want my audience to believe in me blindly, that’s the niche I want to build for myself.”

The actress has built her name for herself with strong performances in movies like, Mulk, Pink, Naam Shabana, Saand Ki Aankh and Manmarziyaan.
