Taapsee Pannu wasn't the first choice for Haseen Dillruba, reveals 'It came to me after all their options were exhausted'

Taapsee Pannu is once again ready to surprise her fans with Haseen Dillruba, the trailer which released recently. With people already singing praises for Taapsee’s brilliance in the trailer, she reveals that she wasn’t in fact the first choice for the role. The actress in fact, reveals that the role came to her after the makers exhausted all their options.

"'Haseen Dillruba' was a film I had a very gut feeling about the day I heard the basic idea from (writer) Kanika (Dhillon). Unfortunately, I wasn't the first choice for the film and it came to me after all their options were exhausted," she tells IANS.

"The good old saying that, if it's meant for you it will come to you stands true for this case. It's not just a beautifully written mystery, it has such wonderful characters, which is candy in an actor's hands," she added.

Happy with how this new experience turned out for her the actress who loves to take risks said that she’s ‘definitely not the go-to person for this kind of character conventionally’.

The actress is shown to be in a love triangle in this thriller is also charged with the murder of her husband played by Vikrant Massey. She is also shown to be having a love affair with actor Harshvardhan Rane.

Haseen Dillruba will release on Netflix on July 2.
