One of the most versatile actors of the Hindi film industry, the handsome Abhishek Bachchan is all set to blow us away with his performance yet again with his upcoming film The Big Bull. Directed by Kookie Gulati and co-produced by Ajay Devgn, the biographical crime film follows the story of stockbroker Harshad Mehta’s life and financial crimes. Well, the much awaited trailer of the film has finally been released and while Abhishek has successfully managed to impress us as Harshad in this ‘mother of all scams’, the rest of the trailer seems rather uninteresting.

To start off with, the actor’s performance will remind you of his character in Mani Ratnam’s 2007 masterpiece Guru, which will leave you wanting more. However, that seems to be the only highlight. Netizens have already begun comparing the film to 2020’s crime drama web-series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. Many are even calling the film rather ‘bland’ in comparison to the series. Other than watching Abhishek as stockbroker Harshad on our screens, the film doesn’t seem to offer much for the audience. Take a look:

Also starring Nikita Dutta as Jyoti Mehta, Harshad’s wife, and Ileana D'Cruz as journalist Sucheta Dalal, The Big Bull was initially headed for a theatrical release. However, due to the pandemic the makers decided to take the digital route. The film will now stream worldwide on 8 April 2021 on Disney+Hotstar.
