TRIVIA: This Is Why Aamir Khan Never Worked With Rekha In Any Of His Films

Rekha is one of the biggest and the most celebrated actresses of her times. Every major actor has worked with the evergreen diva. In fact, such was her popularity that people even nicknamed her lady Amitabh Bachchan!

However, perfectionist Mr Aamir Khan didn’t even have the willingness to work with the gorgeous actress. Well, Aamir was not hell-bent on working with Rekha, in fact, he had also point-blank refused to work with the actress. The reason was reported to be the actress’s non-professionalism. It was reported that Aamir Khan had once seen her at her uncle’s film set and didn’t quite like her behaviour and since then he decided not to work with her ever.

It was during the production of the 1986 film Locket which was being produced by Tahir Hussain. Rekha was paired opposite Jeetendra in the film. Amir Khan would often come to the sets of the film and also got to see Rekha’s working style and how she used to be late on the sets very often. Sometimes, everything used to get delayed so much that the entire scene had to be reshot. 

According to media reports, this behaviour didn’t quite go down well with Aamir and he never worked with Rekha in his life.
