Throwback Thursday: Alia And Ranbir Were To Have Their Debut Together In A Sanjay Leela Bhansali Film, Even Did A Photoshoot For It!

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are currently one of the most talented a power-couples of Bollywood.  Alia and Ranbir, who met on the sets of their upcoming film Brahmastra, fell in love while shooting for the film and well, they look like a dream together. Alia has always said that she had a huge crush of Ranbir and her dream of being with him had finally come true. In fact, the entire nation is just waiting for these two to seal the deal and tie the knot! But did you know that both Alia and Ranbir were supposed to work together long long ago. In fact, if the project had fallen in place, then it would have been their debuts!

Alia Bhatt had been terrific even as a child actor and had shot for a couple of films as a kid. When she had just been a teenager, she was finalised by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Yes, SLB had zeroed in on Alia way back when she was a teenager. Actually, he wanted to remake Balika Badhu and had cast Alia for the female lead, opposite Ranbir Kapoor who was just 20 something and had not made his debut! In fact, the two even did a photoshoot for the project and Ranbir had spoken about Alia in various interviews and even then he had hailed her as a talented artist!

The film got shelved and Ranbir later debuted with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Sawaariya, which failed to do well at the box-office. Alia too will finally get to work with the director for her upcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, which will release on September 11^th, 2020!
