    TV Actress Chahatt Khanna Opens Up About Depression, Says A Close Friend Once Taunted Her For Being A Divorced Single Mother

    TV actress Chahatt Khanna has been quite unlucky in love. She had been married and divorced twice and is right now concentrating on herself and her two kids. She has faced abusive relationship and coming out of it requires strength, which she displayed. However, she is trying her best to be not affected by it and continues to work hard. Recently, in an interview, the actress also opened up about her battle with depression.

    Talking to TOI, the TV actress confirmed that she does suffer from depression and is in constant touch with her councellor through video calls. She said, “We don't know where it comes from, where it vanishes and goes back. I don't know much about it. It's just that I am dealing with it and coming out of it in a healthy and most challenging way. I just wanted to stay out of the whole fake world and do something real in my life. So, I thought, let's take a break from people, social media and everything which glitters.”

    Yes, the actress has taken a break from social media and looks like she is enjoying her time alone with her kids. She also said how not just online trolls, but people have also taunted her for being a divorced single mother. She said, “When terms or relationships go sour, even your closest of friends, boyfriends, girlfriends or husbands are the first ones to point fingers at you and say, 'Tera toh iske liye divorce hua hai' and 'Acha hua tere husband ne tujhe chhod diya' (Your husband divorced you for good). You're an amma 'Do bachhon ki maa hai, ja jaakar apne bachhe sambhaal' (You're a mother of two kids. Go and parent them). These are the things that you get to hear. A very close female friend of mine told me these things. I was like 'WHAT?' So, yes, we all are like that. When we turn our backs, people don't leave any stone unturned to pull you down.”

    Well, we are proud to see how Chahatt is fighting against these labels and moving up to live life on her own terms. Kudos to her spirit!
