Twinkle Khanna Flaunts Her Onion Earrings In A New Picture, Says Onions Are A Girl's Best Best Friend

Twinkle Khanna’s sense of humor has no parallel. The former Bollywood actress and author recently received a pair of onion earrings from her husband and actor Akshay Kumar, who is busy promoting his upcoming film Good Newwz. Akshay brought the earrings home from the sets of the Kapil Sharma Show where they were offered to his co-star Kareena Kapoor as a gift. Well, while Kareena never wanted them, Akshay though Twinkle would appreciate it and took them home for her.

Days after she received them, Twinkle has now posted a picture actually wearing the earrings, substituting them for diamonds, and also showed how the onions have begun sprouting, Twinkle captioned the picture, “From one shoot to another:) I am glad I got the chance to wear my priceless gifts that were brought home from a shoot, before they started sprouting shoots themselves:) #OnionsAreAGirlsBestFriends.”

Onion prices have shot up across the country and the rising prices became the butt of ‘pricey’ jokes, the onion earrings being one of them. Twinkle posted on Instagram earlier how the silly gift touched her heart, and wrote, “My partner returns from performing at the Kapil Sharma show and says, ‘They were showing this to Kareena, I don’t think she was too impressed, but I knew you would enjoy them so I got them for you.’ Sometimes it’s the smallest things, the silliest things that can touch your heart. #onionearrings #bestpresentaward”.
