Urmila Matondkar On Kangana Ranaut: ‘If One Person Shouts All The Time, Doesn’t Mean The Person Is Speaking The Truth’

Actress Kangana Ranaut’s statements on the movie mafia, drug racket and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise received a mixed reaction from her fans and followers on social media. However, her comments on Mumbai Police and her tweet comparing the city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir left the entire nation in shock. It not only hurt the sentiments of many netizens but also enraged Bollywood celebs who slammed the actress. Some even asked her not to return to Mumbai.

Now in a recent chat with India Today's Marathi web Channel, actress Urmila Matondkar hit back at Kangana for her comments and said, “The entire country is facing the menace of drugs. Does she (Kangana) know Himachal is the origin of drugs? She should start from her own state.” She further asked why Kangana, who has been given Y-security from the taxpayers' money, didn’t give information about the drug nexus to the police.

Talking about her distasteful comments about Mumbai, Urmila shared that the city belongs to everyone. But she went on to add, “Whoever has loved the city and has given back to the city, it belongs to them As a daughter of the city, I will never tolerate any defamatory remark against it. When you make such comments you are not only insulting the city, but people of the state at large.” The actress also stated that if a person shouts all the time, it doesn’t mean that they are speaking the truth. Urmila said, “Some people want to crib all the time and play the victim card and if all that fails, they play the woman card.”

Urmila is also shocked to learn about Kangana’s statements against actor and RS MP Jaya Bachchan and does not agree with most of her comments. However, she felt it was unfair of BMC to demolish Kangana's Pali Hill office.
