Varun Dhawan Escapes Major Accident On Sets Of Coolie No.1 As Stunt Goes Horribly Wrong

Recently, Varun Dhawan had quite the narrow escape while shooting for a stunt sequence in the film Coolie No. 1. For the scene, Varun had to sit inside a car that was hanging precariously from a cliff. Although Varun had rehearsed the scene several times with the stunt directors, the situation got quickly out of hand.

A source who was present at the location revealed to a major daily, “After Varun filmed his shot, he realized that the car door was jammed and wouldn’t budge. Even though the stunt was rehearsed several times under the supervision of the stunt coordinators and all safety precautions were employed by the director, things went awry. What followed was a few minutes of dread as the stunt coordinators tried to get him out of the vehicle. It was proving all the more difficult given how precariously the car was balanced on the edge. Varun kept his calm throughout the episode and finally escaped unhurt with the help of one of the stunt coordinators.”

If you remember,  a while back a fire broke out on the sets of Coolie No. 1 in Film City. While no one was hurt in the fire, it surely damaged parts of the set and the shooting equipment.
