Shah Rukh Khan is taking time off from Bollywood after his film Zero failed miserably to impress audiences. The failure of the film was no doubt a big shock for the actor and the makers but Shah Rukh’s decision to take time off from films has certainly not gone down too well with his millions of followers.

The disheartened fans took to twitter to make the hashtag #WeMissSRKOnBigScreen trend. Sharing the actor’s pictures from his various films his followers requested the actor to announce his next project soon. So far, Shah Rukh’s name has been linked to various projects including Rajkummar Hirani’s next, Don 3, a sequel to Happy New Year and the Rakesh Sharma biopic (which he backed out of after the Zero debacle).

During the screening of Zero at the Beijing Film Festival the actor spoke about Zero’s failure, “Unfortunately Zero itself wasn’t received too well back home in India, maybe I made the wrong film, maybe I did not do the right storytelling so I am a little wary how it will be received here and I hope people here will like it,” he told Chinese website CGTN.

He had also added that he needed time to carefully pick out his next project but so far we haven’t have Shah Rukh confirm what his next film will be. This year, so far, Shah Rukh Khan has produced Badla as well as lent his voice for ‘Mufasa’ in The Lion King.
