When Shah Rukh Khan revealed Suhana Khan doesn't want to learn acting from him, said she feels 'awkward'

Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan is already a social media sensation and hopefully, her followers will soon get to see her on the big screen. The star kid’s desire to follow in her father’s footsteps is rather well known but SRK once revealed in an interview that his daughter doesn’t want to learn to act from him.

In an interview with Femina, Shah Rukh Khan had said that his daughter was more theatre-oriented and has been doing plays in college but she doesn’t take any acting tips from him. “She wants to be an actor in her own right. She can be an actor if she has the passion and guts to work five times harder than me and get paid 10 times less than I do, if times don’t change for women actors. I want her to experience what my female co-stars have gone through. My daughter will be an actor like them and I want to feel the pain.”

Shah Rukh Khan is an inspiration for thousands of aspiring actors in the country. Several stars of the new generation call him their inspiration and many others certainly will give a limb to get pointers on their craft from the superstar. Suhana though had her way of keeping her father involved in the process of her learning and asked him to write down for her his feeling when he’s acting.

The star kid however has her own reason valid reasons for keeping her father at an arm’s length from her learning process. Shah Rukh while talking about it further told the publication, “She rehearses for her plays, but never with me. Once in a while she talks about it, like she was playing a guy in a play and told me she moved too much. Instinctively, I got up to show her how I’d do it, but she didn’t want me to. She’s very clear that she feels awkward learning from me because I have 25-30 years’ experience and I’ll be explaining things to her from the top down. She says, ‘Let me learn it so that I feel I can discuss it at the same level with you.’ I think that’s fair.”

Suhana Khan is 21 and the rumours of her debut film have been doing the rounds for a few years now. So for in preparation for her career the star kid has been studying acting, taking part in plays and even assisted on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Zero to learn the craft. She has also already featured on the cover of a leading magazine and has an enviable two million followers on social media who she keeps engaged with some stunning clicks, feeding them nuggets of her everyday life.
