Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan turns 20 today. The star-kid who aspires to join Bollywood just like her father one day, one could say has grown up in the filmy world but hasn’t always been a big fan of the attention that comes with it.

It apparently took Suhana sometime to make peace with the fact that her father is famous and she admitted that while she hoped as a kid in school he would be known as ‘Suhana’s dad’ when he dropped her at school it wasn’t the case and that disappointed her.

Talking about the same in her very first magazine interview with Vogue, Suhana spilled the beans on her relationship with her dad and said, “I realised quite early on that it was different for us. But I never really thought about my dad being famous. When I was about five, he would come and drop me to school, and people would point and stare. He wasn’t being addressed as Suhana’s dad, which is what I wanted. It confused me. He would want to hug me, and I would push him back in the car. I hated the attention, it made me very self-conscious.”

The father-daughter duo is now, however, best friends and can talk with each other about anything under sun and Suhana grew up to understand that for her Shah Rukh would always be her dad and if she wanted to hug him she just would.

While it might not be certain when we could hope Suhana to make her big screen Bollywood debut she has been vocal that it is her dream to be an actress. The star kid is completing her studies at New York University and we hope after she’s done we see her someday sharing screen with her dad.
