Yuvika Chaudhary arrested for using casteist slur in home video featuring husband Prince Narula; is currently on interim bail

Back in May this year, Bigg Boss 9 contestant Yuvika Chaudhary had shared a home video which made headlines. In this clip, while her husband Prince Narula got a haircut, the actress told her fans that each time she makes a vlog at home she does not get enough time to dress up for it. The reason that this post took the internet by storm is that Yuvika used a casteist slur and it did not go down well with netizens. ‘Arrest Yuvika Cahudhary’ began trending on social media and Haryana's Hansi Police registered a case against her under Section 3 (1) (u) of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Atrocities Act.

A report shared by ANI has now revealed that Yuvika was arrested in a case of alleged offensive remarks against Scheduled Castes on 18th October. The Om Shanti Om actress’ lawyer Ashok Bishnoi shared that she is currently on interim bail. A tweet shared by ANI quoted him saying: “My client has joined the investigation as per the guidelines given by the High Court and she is on interim bail now (in a case of alleged offensive remarks against Scheduled Castes on a social media platform).”

Back then, Yuvika had apologized for hurting sentiments of the people and had also shared that she did not know the meaning of the word she used. She had tweeted: “Hi guys I didn’t kw the meaning about that word  wt I used in my last vlog I didn’t mean to hurt anyone and I can never do that to hurt  someone  I apologise to each n every one I hope you understand love you all.”
