Zaira Wasim Has This Special Request For The Makers Of The Sky Is Pink

Recently, Zaira Wasim created a lot of stir by announcing her exit from Bollywood. The National Award winning actress explained in a long post how her career has been interfering with her spirituality which led her to take the drastic decision.

However, it is Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink that is caught up in all this turmoil. The film starring Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra also has Zaira playing the main protagonist. In the light of her decision to quit Bollywood, Zaira has requested makers to excuse her from the promotions of the film. Siddharth Roy Kapoor, who is producing the film, has also been one of the people to support her decision to quit Bollywood and has also granted her special request. As a result, it is confirmed that Zaira would not be promoting the film.

The film The Sky Is Pink is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, a motivational speaker and author who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and succumbed to it at the young age of 19. In the film, Zaira will be seen playing Aisha’s role and Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar will play the role of her parents Niren Chaudhary and Aditi Chaudhary.
