Trivia Of The Day: Not Dino Morea And Bipasha Basu, But These Actors Were The Choice For Raaz!

Raaz released back in 2002 and it created records. The film, that launched two newcomers into Bollywood, went on to become the second highest grossing film of the year after Devdas, that had three big names. The films made Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu the new hot jodi of Bollywood, but this would have never happened had they stuck to the original cast.

Yes, the original choice of the film were not these two leading models of the time. The original cast was very different. In fact, the makers had in mind a relatively new actress and a well known actor. We are talking about Lisa Ray and Anil Kapoor.

Lisa Ray had made her debut just a year back in 2001 with Kasoor. She had rejected the role. Anil Kapoor, on the other hand, believed that horror is a genre that he can not pull through and therefore, said no the project. This is when Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu stepped into the shoes of the lead and the rest is history!
