You Won’t Believe The Incident That Inspired The M.S Dhoni Biopic

M.S. Dhoni as a cricketer achieved fame quite early. But things became really massive when the Indian team, under his captaincy, brought home the first T20 Cricket World Cup in 2011.

Fresh from the success of World Cup, Dhoni was sitting in the airport when a young boy came and asked him questions about success and motivation. Instead of giving a short and careless reply, Dhoni sat the kid down and talked to him about motivation for about 5-10 minutes.

His manager Arun Pandey, who was accompanying him saw the incident and asked him why he spent so much time answering the boy’s question. Dhoni replied, this 5 minute conversation might help the boy’s motivation and push him to do something big.  It was then Arun thought that Dhoni indeed had a story that had the potential to inspire millions.

He then got in touch with Neeraj Pandey who at that time was busy with the shoot of Baby. But even he liked the idea and he and his team did a solid research for about two years to make the biopic as real as possible, which is actually comparable to the research that goes on in Bollywood.
