Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Aasif Shaikh Remembers What He Told Shilpa Shinde During Her Fight With The Makers

The gorgeous Shilpa Shinde won the audiences’ hearts with her character Angoori Tiwari in the super hit television show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain back in 2015. Sadly, she left the show a year later after alleging that the makers “mentally tortured” her. Shilpa also accused producer Sanjay Kohli of sexual harassment and claimed that his wife Benaifer Kohli threatened her. The fight continued with former channel head Vikas Gupta in Bigg Boss 11. However, Shilpa reportedly did not have issues with her co-actors. In fact, Aasif Sheikh aka Vibhuti Ahuti Narayan Mishra recently revealed that she even recommended his name for Bigg Boss.

In a chat with TOI, Aasif revealed why he never got into the dispute between Shilpa and the makers. He shared, “We were not aware of what went wrong between the director, producer and the actor. The reason I did not speak about the issue was that I prefer minding my own business. Moreover, I did not take a stand for Shilpa as I felt she had not taken the right stand. What is an actor's commitment when they sign a show? It is towards the show. Bhabi Ji is the only silver lining in Shilpa's career.”

Aasif also remembered what he told Shilpa during the public fight. He stated, “The character of Bhabiji, which she portrayed, was the best ever anybody could get, so I kept telling her, nothing is worth losing this show, as she was very close to me. In fact, I got her the show. When the writer of the show narrated the character to me I said this is Shilpa Shinde. She was the ideal bhabhi and was really charming as the character.”

While fans were heartbroken when Shilpa quit the show, they were pretty impressed with actress Shubhangi Atre Poorey’s performance as Angoori Bhabhi.
