Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Nehha Pendse Hits Back At Trolls For Criticizing Her Comic Timing; Says Comedy Isn’t Natural

After winning hearts with the sneak peeks from set and the new promo of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, Nehha Pendse aka the new Anita Mishra left the audience impressed with her performance in the first episode. It premiered on 15th February and fans were over the moon with joy to see Nehha as Anita Bhabi. However, there were some netizens who were disappointed with her comic timing and even trolled her for not meeting expectations.

In a recent chat with Indian Express, Nehha opened up about the criticism she received on social media. She shared, “It’s already coming my way even when people haven’t seen my work as Anita. However, I understand that the criticism comes from an emotional space. People have been emotionally connected to Saumya (Tandon), and it’s like letting a new person come in your inner group. Just like any other new relationship, this too would take some time.” She went on to add, “And I want to give that space to my audience to find that connectivity, and I know then, they will accept me wholeheartedly.”

Talking about comedy and her character, Nehha stated, “I think every actor has to do hard work on every character. As for comedy, I don’t think it’s natural. However, this is a sitcom, where the situation is funny, I don’t need to do comedy.” She also shared that she’s not a comedian and cannot crack jokes and make people laugh like Bharti Singh or Kapil Sharma. Therefore, situational comedy works better for her.
