Bigg Boss 14 Somvaar Ka Vaar Highlights: Arshi & Rubina Enter Sultani Akhada; Sonali Attacks Nikki Tamboli

Housemates were still pretty upset about Jasmin Bhasin’s eviction and the only bright side of the Somvaar Ka Vaar episode was seeing host Salman Khan again. The superstar comforted Aly by telling him that Jasmin has only gone home and they can meet when he’s outside. Salman also said it’s shocking to see that Jasmin got the least number of votes and asked Rubina Dilaik where the Naagin 4 actress went wrong. Rubina broke down and said in this house we never know. She also added that she regrets not sorting things out with Jasmin. Salman then tried to lighten up the mood by pulling Eijaz’s leg. He ended up in splits on hearing what Eijaz told Pavitra while proposing to her. Eijaz had said, “Tu jaisi bhi hai, mujhko qubool hai.”

Salman then said that it’s time to test the physical strength of the contestants and announced the grand debut of the Sultani Akhada in season 14. The contestants to inaugurate this Akhada were Rubina and Arshi Khan, who have been at loggerheads since several days. In the first task they gave reasons explaining why they were better than the other, and it turned out to be a tie thanks to the votes given by the housemates. The next three rounds consisted of Dangal in which Rubina and Arshi had to try and push each other into the mud using props. Arshi won two rounds, beat Rubina and became the winner of the very first Sultani Akhada of Bigg Boss season 14.

In the next task housemates were asked to choose any one contestant whose game they would like to make more difficult by spreading thorns in their path for the rest of the season. While Nikki got votes from Sonali and Rubina, Aly chose Rakhi and stated that she had wished for Jasmin and him to get separated. Vikas voted for Arshi, Abhinav selected Eijaz but the maximum number of votes went to Rubina, from Rahul, Eijaz, Rakhi and Arshi. The beauty didn’t back off from her ‘victory’ in this task and shared that they are only making her stronger as she gets more strength and self confidence each time they try to spread thorns in her way.

Salman then announces this week’s nominations, which he would be hosting for the first time in the season. This time two contestants were called in pairs and they were given the name of two other housemates. They had to save one by ‘aapsi sehemati’ and nominate the other. The longest discussion was between Rubina and Vikas who had to choose amongst Rahul and Aly. In the end Vikas gave in, saved Aly and nominated Rahul. Rahul and Aly nominated Nikki and saved Arshi whereas Eijaz and Sonali nominated Rubina to save Vikas. Nikki and Arshi, on the other hand, saved Eijaz and nominated Sonali. As captain, Rakhi got the special power to save any one contestant and she chose her crush Abhinav Shukla. This did not go down well with Sonali who felt that Rakhi broke her promise by not saving her.

Sonali was pretty upset and vented out her frustration by attacking Nikki. She asked Nikki to stop cleaning her makeup and pick up the box of food, which she had consumed earlier, from the floor near Sonali’s bed. Nikki said that she will but Sonali kept nagging her and even threatened to throw it on her bed. When Nikki got annoyed and left the bedroom area to go to the washroom, Sonali picked up the box and threw it on Nikki’s bed, staining the bed sheet with food. When Nikki returned, the two got into a war of words during which they hurled many insults at each other. The rest of the contestants tried to explain Sonali what she did was wrong, but she did not back off. She even told Nikki that she has done some setting with the janta and tried to tower over the South actress.
