Exclusive: Bigg Boss 14’s Shehzad Deol Talks About His Unfair Eviction; Says Eijaz Khan Stabbed Him In The Back

After Sara Gurpal, another contestant was evicted from the Bigg Boss 14 house today and its none other than her good friend Shehzad Deol. The Punjabi model won our hearts with his hilarious antics during the Grand Premiere and made headlines when he told Sara, “You look like a duck.” However, things went downhill on the last Weekend Ka Vaar when it was announced that Shehzad, Jaan Kumar Sanu and Abhinav Shukla are the bottom three contestants and the decision to evict one came onto the housemates. While Jaan and Abhinav were tied with 4 votes, Pavitra Punia, Eijaz Khan and seniors Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan, Gauahar Khan voted for Shehzad, making him the first 100% not confirmed contestant. He wore an outfit with the word ‘Gayab’ written on it and left the house on Day 18.

In an exclusive chat with Desimartini, Shehzad opened up about his ‘unfair eviction’ and shared, “I’ve seen Bigg Boss for so many years and it has been a public voting show.” He admitted that there have been such situations where contestants have been asked to leave in the middle of the season, but not like this, not two weeks in a row like what happened with Shehzad and Sara. “The concept of the game has totally been changed. They’ve made it like those dating reality shows or those task based reality shows on other channels. Bigg Boss is known for its audience, the reach that it has all over the world. Since I’m out now I’m getting feedback and messages, I’m going through social media and I’m seeing the kind of support that I was getting, the love and the fans that I’ve already gained in these two weeks. There was no chance, if you would have asked the audience to vote for me, I would have been out second.”

Shehzad further stated that he understands Bigg Boss is the property of the channel and the channel can do whatever they want. He explained that if you’re not asking the public to vote, you ask the housemates to vote and they decide these are the people that they want to eliminate. Out of those people, give the person a fighting chance to save himself. “You’re not even giving me the chance to fight for myself. Therefore I kind of already decided that no matter what happens I’m going for sure. You’re not letting my audience save me, you’re not even letting me save myself. So that is surprising and strange.”

When asked if he felt backstabbed by Eijaz Khan, who chose him over Abhinav and Jaan for elimination, the Punjabi model said, “Totally! That’s what I told the other housemates. You just cannot trust him. He will go to any length and stoop to any level to be in the game and the person who is going to trust Eijaz will regret it for the longest time because he’s not someone that can be trusted. If you have to be someone, be real. I’m not asking you to like me. But don’t go around saying that I really respect you, I really have warm feelings for you, we are like brothers and then go around and do this because you spoke to someone else for one second and you think that you bonded with that person really well.”

Talking about the contestant who was less deserving than him, Shehzad said, “I can’t say that someone deserved to go out. I can just say that someone more than me deserved to go because the contribution was not that much, in comparison to me. So, that was Jaan. I told him many times that he didn’t have his own individuality, he didn’t have his own point. He was just a follower amongst the crowd and even amongst the crowd he was the last follower. So if there’s a group and there are four people in that group, he has the last say in that group also. So, it’s an individual show, it’s a personality show, you have to show your own personality and not be a follower.” Shehzad went on to add that he doesn’t know if Jaan will completely change his game overnight but as per what he saw, Jaan definitely should have gone before him.

Do you agree with Shehzad? Well, we hope he gets a chance to return to the BB house with Sara as a wild card contestant!
