Indian Idol 12 Team Returns To Mumbai; Host Aditya Narayan Compares COVID-19 To An Evil Villain

Singing reality show Indian Idol 12, along with many other television shows, shifted base when Maharashtra government announced a janta curfew last month to contain the second wave of COVID-19. Hosted by Aditya Narayan and judged by singers Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani, the show was shot in Daman for a month. Well, the team has now returned to Mumbai and hope to resume shoot only after the Maharashtra government and the lockdown rules allow.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Aditya was quoted saying, “We used to shoot eight episodes in four days so we have content for the entire month. I feel it is safer taking a team of people keeping them in one place together and completing a shooting and coming back which we have done now.” Well, at least the makers and fans have enough content for the next one month to depend on.

Aditya shared that the team is now waiting to see what Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has to say about reopening the city amid the coronavirus pandemic. He went on to add, “But I would say it is better to be in Mumbai as Covid is a very slimy character it is one of those villains who looks like a sidekick but turns out to be a megalomaniac and evil character. Imagine recommendations of wearing a mask at home.”
