Kasautii Zindagii Kay’s Erica Fernandes On Show Going Off Air: ‘There’s No Set Formula That Works Every Time’

Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay, a reboot of her 2001 series, was one of the most popular shows on television. Featuring Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes, Aamna Sharif and Karan Patel, it followed the love story of Anurag Basu and Prerna Sharma. Well a few weeks ago it was reported that the lead actors are planning to quit the show and Parth was unhappy that the track was focusing more on Prerna and Mr Bajaj. Pretty soon it was officially announced that the show is going off air. This broke many hearts!

Talking about Kasautii Zindagii Kay in a recent interview with ETimes, actress Erica, who won hearts as Prerna Sharma, stated, “It’s not necessary that what worked 20 years ago, will receive similar attention and fame today. Back then, the audiences were different, but viewers have evolved over the years. Similarly, the script and content of daily soaps have evolved and there’s no set formula that works every time.” The beauty jetted off to Goa after wrapping up the shoot of the last day and is currently taking a much-needed break.

Erica’s co-star Parth also opened up about the show going off air in a recent interview and shared that it’s rare to get a chance to be a part of something that's beautiful, historic and incredible, but he got that chance two years ago when he was offered Anurag Basu’s role. Well fans will definitely miss Anurag and Prerna.
