Kumkum Bhagya Actress Sriti Jha On Resuming Shoot: ‘It’s New, It’s Certainly Not Normal’

In the month of March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared a nationwide lockdown to help stop the spread of coronavirus. As a result, shoots of upcoming episodes of television shows were put on hold and production was stalled. However, as the country has started unlocking slowly yet steadily, makers of many TV soaps have resumed shooting. One such show which will soon return on air is Kumkum Bhagya. The actors recently began shooting again and fans are super excited.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla actress Sriti Jha, who plays the role of Pragya, shared her experience of returning to the sets after so many months. She stated, “It’s new, it’s certainly not normal. And I know everyone says their team is the best... but I do truly believe the way the production team of KKB has organised everything on set is exemplary. I was extremely nervous about resuming shoot but as soon as I reached my set all my fears were put to rest.”

Sriti went on to share that everyone now has separate makeup kits and the wigs/combs being used are carried in separate pouches. In fact, there are very few people on the floor when everybody is on sets and each person is wearing a mask and shield. That’s not all. Every chair that they sit on is labeled with their names and the spot boy regularly sanitizes them. She added, “I was actually nervous initially but when I arrived, I was like oh this is probably as safe as my home.”

Also featuring Shabbir Ahluwalia, Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya is one of the most loved and watched shows on television. Fresh episodes of the show will air from 13^th July.
