Naagin 5: Mohit Sehgal Had No Apprehensions; Opens Up About Comparisons With Season 1 Star Arjun Bijlani

After announcing that Naagin 4 was coming to an end, television’s queen Ekta Kapoor promised a brand new, exciting season of her supernatural thriller series. Well so far fans are extremely happy with Naagin 5 and are absolutely loving the story line and the spectacular performances by lead actors Surbhi Chandna, Mohit Sehgal and Sharad Malhotra. While the on-screen chemistry between Surbhi and Sharad became the talk of the town, fans thoroughly enjoyed Mohit’s act as sweet Naag Jay. However, the latest promo has revealed that the story is going to take a very interesting turn and we will get to see Mohit in a new avatar.

In a recent chat with TOI, Mohit revealed that he didn’t have any apprehensions when he was offered the show. He stated, “If 'Naagin' was offered to me during its first edition, I would have thought twice, wondering how it would shape up. However, by now, everyone knows how it’s made, so I had no apprehensions about exploring the genre. In fact, Sanaya (his wife, actress Sanaya Irani) was very happy for me. She told me to not think and just take it up.”

For the uninitiated, Mohit began his journey in the entertainment industry with Miley Jab Hum Tum co-starring Arjun Bijlani, who featured in the first season of Naagin opposite Mouni Roy. Talking about comparisons with the actor, Mohit stated that every season has a different story and ratings may fluctuate, but two seasons cannot be compared. He went on to add that he just wants to give his best and does not pay attention to comparisons because he doesn’t believe in them.
