Surbhi Chandna On Her Character In Naagin 5: “My Focus Is To Put A Few Nuances Of Me In Bani”

Surbhi Chandna is one of the most popular and adored actresses of the Indian television industry. May it be the bubbly Annika of Ishqbaaaz or righteous, ethical Dr. Ishani of Sanjivani, the beauty has proven her versatility time and again with each and every character. Well Surbhi is currently busy winning hearts as Bani Sharma in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller series Naagin 5. Also featuring Mohit Sehgal and Sharad Malhotra, the show went on air a few weeks ago and fans are absolutely loving it!

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Surbhi opened up about being a part of such a popular show and dealing with the pressure that comes with it. She shared, “Keeping the pressure I think I am good with now. But honestly, everyone has put their heart and soul in all the seasons. Be it from the first season to the last, everyone has done everything they can to make it a hit. Everybody has put their flavour in it and lived the pressure and done justice. I am not going to take anyone's credit there. My focus is to put a few nuances of me in Bani. I think if I can do that, I feel people will like it.”

Talking about how much TRP matters to her and if it adds any extra stress, Surbhi stated that with the person she is and the profession she has chosen, she can't be stagnant in life. If she is stagnant, it means she is not taking any risks. She explained, “For me, my growth is only when I risk it all. If I only keep playing bubbly, I can't. I have to come out of my comfort zone and experiment. I had to break the image. I did achieve that with my previous show. Dr Ishani was not an easy character to pull off.” The actress went on to add that even with Bani, she is sure fans will see a different side to her. Surbhi concluded, “I have to focus on my growth as an actor. Numbers and everything will follow, if they have to follow.”

Well we are eagerly waiting to see how her story as Hina Khan aka Nageshvari’s reincarnation Bani takes off. Will she reunite with her Naag lover? Or will a new love story begin between Naagin Bani and Cheel Veeranshu Singhania aka Veer? Let’s wait and watch!
