Death hoaxes are nothing new in Bollywood. Time and again, different Bollywood celebrities have become victims of false death rumors that have caused their families, friends and especially fan a lot of distress. Even when it comes to TV, there has been news of deaths of popular celebrities that send their fans into a tizzy. Here are 6 popular TV celebrities whose death hoaxes took us by surprise.
Fans of one of the most popular faces on Indian television, Shweta Tiwari, received a shock when a fan page of actress Sakshi Tanwar posted a condolence message on Shweta’s death. When the news spread like wildfire even Abhinav Kohli, her husband instantly checked on his wife and put an end to all the rumors.

The rumors about our favorite Ishita from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein , recently fell a victim to death hoax. The situation escalated so much that the actress finally took to social media to clear the status and requested people to not trouble her friends and family with the false news.
Sana Khan
The actress was shocked when RIP messages and posts started pouring in on her social media handle. Completely dumbfounded by the incident, the actress immediately clarified being all fine. Later, it was found out that it was a case of mistaken identity and people confused her with another Pakistani actress by the same name who passed away in a tragic road accident in Pakistan.

Farida Jalal has been a favorite of many due to her long involvement with Bollywood and television. Apart from essaying many memorable roles in several films, she also has been a part of extremely popular shows such as Shararat . As a result, when news of her death spread, many were distraught. This one, as well, was a case of mistaken identity. When news of the actress’ death circulated, the actress took no time to clarify that she is alive and doing well, but unfortunately she also confirmed that it is her mother who passed away and thanked her well-wishers for showing her all the support.

Our very own ACP Pradyuman who has solved many death mysteries on CID also was subject to a death hoax. Funnily enough, the actor was shooting a bit on heart attack for his show which many people thought to be true and circulated the news that the veteran actor has passed away due to a heart attack. Well, we never doubted his acting chops, but this was probably a stretch.
