After Parth Samthaan Tests Positive For COVID, Kumkum And Kundali Bhagya Shoots Come To A Halt; Shubhaavi Choksey Takes Test

This week seems to be one heck of a week. Right on Monday, the Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for the novel coronavirus, followed by Aishwarya and Aradhya. BTown was even more gripped in fear when Anupam Kher revealed his mother, brother, and his family have tested positive. Now, panic has also set in the Tellyworld after Kasautii Zindagii Kay's Anurag, aka Parth Samthaan revealed that he is COVID positive!

The shoot of the serials had been going on in Mumbai's Klick Nixon Studios. After Parth tested positive, the shoot of many shows has come to a halt. Kasautii Zindagii Kay's shoot has been stalled and so has the shoot for Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and Pavitra Bhagya. According to a report in TOI, a source, who is a part of Kumkum Bhagya said, “We packed up early today, just before the lunch break was announced. However, it was only after we reached home that we learnt about Parth testing positive for COVID-19.”

A source from Kundali Bhagya added that they were not aware of Parth's condition and were abruptly told to vacate the sets after lunch yesterday. He said, “It was around 3 pm that we were asked to pack up. It was quite abrupt and we had no clue as to why the shoot was wrapped up before schedule. We learnt about Parth testing positive for coronavirus only after we reached home. It is assumed that the shoot will be suspended for about four to five days till it’s safe to resume work. The production house has been extremely careful about taking all necessary precautionary measures and all sets are sanitised thrice a day. Everyone has to undergo a temperature check while entering and leaving the premises. They also check our oxygen levels. We assume Parth must have shown some symptoms the day before yesterday, got tested and received his results today. After learning that he has tested positive for COVID-19, shoots for all shows in the premises have been stalled temporarily.”

Parth's co-star, Subhaavi Choksey, also underwent COVID test and has been praying for the well being of both her family at home and on sets.

Prevention is better than cure and in such times, we are sure that entertainment and shoots can wait. However, many people still would have to worry about their livelihood.
