Dipika Kakkar's exit from Sasural Simar Ka 2 confirmed by producer, "The track is over for now"

Dipika Kakkar has bowed out from the sequel of her popular daily soap Sarural Simar Ka. The actress who has been at the centre of the story for several years will not be seen on the show going forward after her character Simar was given a dramatic exit recently.

Sasural Simar Ka made Dipika Kakkar a household name and recently there were reports that she didn't want to continue with the show. The producer of Sasural Simar Ka 2 Pavan Kumar, however, has cleared the air and said that Dipika’s track on the show has ended in the sequel and that her exit was an amicable decision.

"The track is over for now. Dipika is our original Simar and she is like family for us. We have worked with her for a long time in Sasural Simar Ka and it has been a happy association,” he told ETimes about Dipika Kakkar existing the show.

The story will be carried forward with Radhika Muthukumar who plays Choti Simar and Avinash Mukherjee who plays her husband Aarav Oswal in the sequel post Dipika Kakkar's exit. The show also stars Tanya Sharma and Karan Sharma in key roles.

Now only time will tell if the show will be able to live up the original show where Dipika was the star.
