Divya Kumar Khosla claims Pearl V Puri was on the verge of signing a very big film, says, "Now everything is lost"

TV actor Pearl V Puri is facing charges of raping and molesting a minor in 2019 and his recent arrest has left the television industry in shock. So far several of the actor’s colleagues from the television have built a strong case of his innocence, vouching for his character through many social media posts.

Ekta Kapoor and Divya Kumar Khosla have been two rather strong supporters of Pearl who claim that the actor is being wrongly framed in a family feud that he has nothing to do with. Singer and actress Divya Kumar Khosla had on Monday said that the parents’ of victim are separating and Pearl is being used as a pawn in a custody battle.

Now, Divya has said that Pearl was on the verge of signing a big film and after this case his career taken a big hit. “It’s a very serious charge, and it will have far-reaching repercussions on Pearl’s career. He was just starting out in life. Television had given him stardom. And I can tell you, he was on the verge of signing a very big film. Now everything is lost,” she told Bollywood Hungama.

Calling out the alleged vendata against Pearl, Divya added that the actor’s mother in Agra has no clue how to tackle the situation and has been crying and calling her for help. Having collaborated with the actor in the past Divya vouched for him calling him sincere and hardworking. She further referred to this case as ‘the frightening side of the #MeToo movement’ where an innocent man’s reputation is ruined.

Calling for support for Pearl Divya referred to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death last year and said,“I didn’t know Sushant at all. But my heart reached out to him. In this case, I know Pearl. I am convinced he can’t do something so awful. He is being used to settle scores.”

Beside Divya, actresses Kystle D’Souza, Nia Sharma, Karishma Tanna, Anita Hassanandani, Surbhi Jyoti, Shalin Bhanot have been building Pearl’s case on social media. Ekta Kapoor had in a post claimed that she had spoken to the victim’s mother who told her that the TV actor was innocent.
