Indian Idol 12: Manoj Muntashir, Anu Malik To Fill In For Judges; Aditya Narayan Returns As Host Post COVID-19 Recovery

A few days ago veteran actress Jaya Prada became a part of the Indian Idol 12 judges panel as singer Neha Kakkar had prior commitments and had to give the episode a miss. Well, due to Maharashtra government’s janta curfew, the singing reality show has now shifted its shooting base to Daman. As Neha’s co-judges Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani reportedly chose not to travel amid the pandemic, lyricist Manoj Muntashir and composer Anu Malik will be seen as the guest judges in the upcoming episodes.

While the judges will be giving the show a miss, singer and host Aditya Narayan will be returning to the stage as he has recovered from coronavirus. In a recent interview with India TV, Aditya shared, “While I was in quarantine, it was challenging. I really love my work and I was not able to join the shoot since I had to follow covid protocols and be in isolation. I think it is very important to be extremely careful and follow all the guidelines at this stage.”

He went on to add that he was missing all the contestants, judges Neha, Himesh and Vishal along with the musicians and the rest of their team. He stated, “It finally feels good that I am all set to return to the stage, full of new vigour, zeal and, of course, antibodies!” Well, we are sure fans will be glad to have him back.
