    KBC 12: Amitabh Bachchan Recalls How He Wasn't Able To Afford Rs. 2 To Get Enrolled On His School's Cricket Team

    Amitabh Bachchan has had a 20-year association with Kaun Banega Crorepati the popular quiz show on TV and in so long the superstar has time and again proved that he is one of the most humble celebrities out there. The show that is now hard to imagine without Big B’s aura also connects his fans more personally with him, unlike his characters we have loved over the years on the silver screen.

    With KBC 12 also showing personal journeys of the contestants in the hot seat, when a contestant Jay Kulshreshtha in the recent episode revealed about his family’s financial difficulties, Amitabh Bachchan too recalled an incident from his childhood. The actor revealed how his mother Teji Bachchan had to turn him down when he asked her for Rs. 2 to get enrolled in his school’s cricket team.

    The actor reminisced and said that he is reminded of the value Rs. 2 when he thinks about the episode.

    Jay who was a roll-over contestant from the previous episode said he wanted to gift his mother a home and clear loans he had taken for his father’s treatment. The Mumbai-based contestant also revealed how he lost his job during Covid-19 and also told the superstar host how once during his childhood his mother couldn’t afford to buy him Rs. 7 worth of bhel because she couldn’t afford it.

    Jay quit the show after winning Rs. 12,50,000.
