Lataa Saberwal: 'I Am Done With The Typical Daily Soaps Where Every Day We Go And Churn Content'

It was two days back that Yeh Rishtaa Kya Kehlata Hai actress Lataa Saberwal took to social media and announced quitting daily soaps. While she mentioned that she is up for web shows and films and even some great cameos, fans would no longer be able to see her daily on the screens. Now, she has opened up about why she took the decision. 

Talking to BTimes, she revealed that she is no longer interested to churn out content on a daily basis. She revealed, “I am done with the typical daily soaps, where every day we go and churn content. Now if it is a 5-6 days project, I am okay with it, along with Bollywood projects. That would surely mean that I will have to accept a pay cut since I won’t be regular, but that is okay.”

So, what brought in the realization? Lataa elaborated, “The lockdown period gave all of us a lot of time to reflect. That time made me realise that my calling has changed and now my priority is my 7- and-a-half years old son and doing something for society. I wanted to be an actor since my early 20s, but now my focus has shifted. I want to help out my son with his studies. I am also making videos and posting them on social media to help people who are physically and mentally challenged."

Well, we are pretty sure that fans would be able to understand why she took this step and would continue to show her the same support and love. Meanwhile, we can not wait to see her in other mediums as well.
