Maninee De And Mihir Misra Part Ways After 16 Years Of Marriage, Actress Says 'Hope That Our Friendship Survives This Ordeal'

In a rather sad update from the telly world, popular couple Maninee De and Mihir Misra have hit a rough patch in their marriage and have been living separately for the past six months. Maninee confessed while talking to Bombay Times that after 16 years of marriage she and Mihir have decided to go their separate ways.

Maninee, however, refrained to share the reason behind their separation stating it was too personal and said that while they gave it their beat the outcome isn’t in their hands.

“Many people had given our marriage just three weeks, but it lasted 16 years. It means that we had a lot of love, care and compassion for each other. However, relationships and people evolve with time. In our case, we evolved at different paces and our paths diverged. I have an aesthetic way of looking at life. Maybe, we had a karmic debt and it lived out its course,”

 Speaking about their friendship Maninee hoped that they would continue to remain friends and continued saying, “It’s even more sad, because a lot of people felt that ours was a fairy-tale romance. What was most beautiful about our bond was that we were friends first and then partners. I hope that our friendship survives this ordeal. Having said that, happiness is essential for every human being and it shouldn’t be compromised on, at any cost.”

Mihir has been with his parents in Pune while Maninee is in Mumbai with her daughter. According to the TV actress they haven’t spoken about getting divorced.
