#MeToo: Alok Nath Accused Of Rape And Molestation By The Writer Of The 90's TV Show Tara

The #MeToo movement in India has caught on like wild fire and the new names cropping out after the Nana Patekar and Tanushree Dutta controversy have shocked everyone! So far names like Vikas Behl, Rajat Kapoor, Kailash Kher and Kanan Gill, Utsav Chakraborty, Chetan Bhagat have being called out and the victims coming forward have received full support on social media from celebrities and beyond. Another addition to the list of accused is Alok Nath who was called out the writer of the popular 90’s TV show Tara.

Vinta Nanda in a long Facebook post broke her silence after 19 years and stated her account of how Alok Nath who was a lead on her show would mess around with the female lead after getting drunk on sets. She also stated that she was humiliated by the CEO of the channel after the ‘sanskari’ actor was removed from the show and all her shows were shut down.

But the most shocking and heart-wrenching part of her story was how she was violated after being invited to a party by the actor. After reading her account on social media, celebs and people alike shared the story widely and have condemned Alok Nath on these very serious accusations. Folks like Malika Dua, Sawara Bhaskar, Mini Mathur and Richa Chadha expressed their sheer disgust on the actor’s wrong doing.
