Ratna Pathak Shah was reluctant to get on WhatsApp reveals Rupali Ganguly, here's how the Sarabhai cast convinced her

The Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai cast got together for a fun reunion a few days ago. The pictures and videos shared by the cast went viral in no time on social media as fans got nostalgic seeing the cast of this iconic comedy together again. The actors of the show are a tight-knit group in real life too like their reel life families.

Rupali Ganguly opened up what it took to get the cast together again for the reunion and even spoke about the possibilities of a third season of Sarabhai during an interview with Times of India. Commenting on how the reunion was planned the actress who played Monisha on the show said, “I had been planning the Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai reunion for the past six months on our WhatsApp group. First, we couldn’t meet because of the second wave of COVID-19. Then we were waiting for all of us to get vaccinated. After that, we got busy with our projects, and the get-together was pushed further. I called producer JD Majethia at 12.30 one night after my shoot and asked him to organise the reunion at any cost. Finally, we all met at our director, Aatish Kapadia’s house.”

The actress further spoke addressed the wishes of the fans to see a Sarabhai season 3 and said that it was difficult for the cast to reunite for another season as everyone is busy. Rupali thinks that shows like Sarabhai are hard to come by and that they still crack jokes like they used to onset.

Narrating a funny story about Ratna Pathak Shah’s reluctance to get on WhatsApp she shared, “I will tell you a funny story. Ratna ji (Pathak Shah) was not downloading Whatsapp because she was scared that we would send her Good Morning messages. We had to convince her that we would not do so and only then she learnt to use the app. We are always in our characters while chatting, too. I am always hoping for a third season and I keep on manifesting it.”

Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai starred on Star One in 2004 and ended after two years in 2006. The show later got a second season which released digitally in 2017.
