Shilpa Shetty's Prize Money For Big Brother Was Less Than The First Few Bigg Boss Contestants! Watch Her Winning Moment

Bigg Boss is no doubt the most controversial the yet most popular reality show on TV. The show gives a sneak peek into the lives of some popular faces daily for an hour while they are locked up in house for three months. The catch however is that they walk out more famous than ever making all the days in isolation worth it. Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty too had this life-altering experience on UK’s Big Brother which she won after being locked in for just four weeks back in 2007.

But did you know that Shilpa won a lesser amount as prize money on Big Brother than first few winners of Bigg Boss? Yes! The Bollywood actress took home nearly Rs. 85 lakhs (100,000 pounds) as prize money from the show which she won in 2007 while back in India Bigg Boss that had just started a year earlier gave away Rs. 1 crore to the winners for the first few seasons before the prize money was ultimately brought down to Rs. 50 lakhs.

Winners like Rahul Roy, Ashutosh Kaushik, Shweta Tiwari and Juhi Parmar took home Rs. 1 crore for lifting the trophy in their respective Bigg Boss seasons.

The prize money Shilpa Shetty earned, however, was aside from the Rs. 3 crores she took to participate and reportedly also walked away with deals worth Rs. 45 crores according to reports. She also went on to donate the prize money off to a charity and even earned her place as the host of the second season of Bigg Boss in India.
