The worsening Covid-19 situation in the country has once again begun taking its toll on the entertainment fraternity. Shree Krishna fame actor Sunil Nagar, who played Bhishma Pitamah on the popular show is now facing a big financial crisis along with many personal problems due to lack of work in the pandemic riddled industry. The actor has also been a part of TV shows like Mahabali Hanuman, Om Namah Shivay, Shree Ganesh, Qubool Hai, Adalat, Siya Ke Ram and films like Taal and Chatur Singh Two Star.

The actor’s bank details and a picture have been making the rounds of social media seeking financial aid in his name. The actor who has worked in many TV shows and films has exhausted his savings in the past year and half and was even forced to sell his house based in Oshiwara to meet expenses. He is now been staying in a rented apartment but is unable to pay rent for the past few months.

That coupled with a lack of acting jobs, Sunil who is also a trained singer began singing in a restaurant before the lockdown but unfortunately lost that job too after the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country.

"The time is such… I don't know whom to blame. I earned a lot when I was working. I did many hit shows, and I worked in many movies. People liked my work, they gave me more work. But today, there's no work for even the best of us in the industry. I am also a trained singer. So a few days back I got an offer to sing at a restaurant where they were also taking care of my day-to-day expenses, but then the lockdown was announced and that restaurant was shut down. I am unable to pay my rent for the last few months," he told India.com on being contacted.

Seeing his dire situation his friend a casting director resorted to share his details on social media for assistance. Sunil is approached CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association) with his problem and was promised help which is yet to come through.

The actor also opened about his strained relationship with his family and revealed, “My family has abandoned me. I gave the best education to my son and taught him at a convent school, and here I am today. I have siblings also, but nobody cares. Thankfully, I don't have COVID right now, but I have other health problems. I hope life shows me a better morning someday.”
